Finance Council
Church law requires each parish to establish a Finance Council to administer the temporal goods of the parish according to the local laws of the Diocese as determined by the Bishop. The Finance Council provides advice and counsel to the Rector for this purpose and is especially concerned with the parish budget and the funds directed to its execution.
The Finance Council works closely with the Rector to ensure that the parish’s financial resources are managed responsibly and transparently, adhering to principles of stewardship and accountability. Members of the Finance Council review and oversee the preparation of the parish’s annual budget, analyze financial reports, and provide recommendations on fundraising and expenditure to support the parish’s mission and ministries.
The Finance Council aims to uphold principles of good stewardship by promoting transparency in financial matters, encouraging responsible giving among parishioners, and ensuring that all resources are directed toward the fulfillment of the Church’s mission.
