Yes. The Cathedral has two exterior wheelchair ramps – one on 13th street and the other in the courtyard which will allow easy access to the Cathedral.

To arrange a Mass intention, call the rectory office at 304-233-4121. The parish office is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday (closed 12 Noon to 12:45pm).

An offering of $10 is customary for each intention. Upon request, you may receive a Mass card for each intention in which you can write the date and time of the Mass.

The first step is to call the parish office at 304-233-4121 and speak to the priest about marriage preparation and the possibility of scheduling your wedding ceremony at the Cathedral.

Couples are expected to contact us at least six (6) months in advance of the date on which they hope to celebrate their wedding. The purpose of this period is to actively involve the couple in the process through which they can judge not only their own readiness to marry, but also their ability to communicate on vital issues. Only the clergy of the Cathedral may book the date for the celebration of a wedding. Dates will be booked only after there has been a sufficient opportunity to meet with the couple, to take care of the necessary paperwork and to arrange for their participation in a marriage preparation program. It is the responsibility of the engaged couple to secure the date with the Cathedral before making commitments with caterers, reception halls, etc.

For more information, please visit our Marriage page.

Parents who wish to have their child baptized at the Cathedral should contact the parish office at 304-233-4121 to set up a meeting with a priest. This should be done well in advance in order to complete the necessary baptism preparation as well as allow the godparents enough time to obtain letters of good standing from their parish pastor.

For more information, please visit our Baptism page.

Becoming Catholic is a journey of faith, guided by the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (O.C.I.A.). This process is open to unbaptized adults or children (over seven years old) who wish to be fully initiated into the Catholic Church as well as non-Catholic Christians who seek to be welcomed into Full Communion of the Catholic Church. The process of becoming Catholic takes place in stages according to the program in place at the Cathedral as well as the individual needs of the participant.

If you are interested in learning more about becoming Catholic, please contact the parish office at 304-233-4121 or tgreenwood@dwc.org.
