Sons of St. Joseph

Men’s Group

Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.

What a different world it would be if more men dedicated themselves to holiness and embraced their role as their family’s spiritual leader.

The Sons of St. Joseph are a group of men committed to living a life of conversion, integrity, and honesty, acting as a witness for Jesus Christ in daily life, work,
social, parish, and family settings. The men of this ministry aim to emulate our patron St. Joseph and become better husbands, fathers, sons, and brothers.

Our hope is that participation in the Sons of St. Joseph will lead to invigorated spiritual lives of Catholic men, and by their positive influence, to that of our families, friends, and coworkers.

  1. To provide a place for men to be real
  2. To provide a place of confidentiality and trust
  3. To provide a place for authentic friendships
  4. To provide a place to pursue virtue and holiness
  5. To provide a place for disciple-making

The structure of our men’s group follows what’s called the “Four Pillars” format.

The four pillars are:

  • Formation
  • Worship
  • Service
  • Fellowship

These Four Pillars are based on the practices of the Early Church. Jesus was the most successful evangelist that ever lived. So, instead of reinventing the wheel, we look to His methods and apply them to the group.

Put into practice, the Four Pillars become the themes of the different group meetings that take place through each month. This method will allow us to not only
learn and grow in our faith, but to live every aspect of it through formation, worship, service, and fellowship.

FORMATION – Series about Catholic beliefs, virtues, or scripture
WORSHIP – Eucharistic Adoration, Confessions, Mass
SERVICE – Box up meals for the needy through Catholic Charities; make care bags for the homeless with items they need
FELLOWSHIP – Beer and pizza at a local restaurant; cookout; bowling

The Sons of St. Joseph is open to any man 18 years or older who seeks to grow in friendship with God and each other.

Our men’s group meets each Wednesday evening at 7pm. While each member does not have to present each week, we encourage everyone to join us as often as their schedule allows.
